Kylie Minogue & PS22 Chorus

From their description:

“Get ready for something REALLY special!! Today the PS22 Chorus hosted a visit from the AMAZING Ms. Kylie Minogue, who made a special trip out to Staten Island to spend some time with the kids! Kylie has been a long time fan of PS22, tweeting about the kids on more than one occasion, so it’s safe to say that everybody was extremely psyched for this collaboration! Here the kids join Kylie on her mega-hit, “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” which we recreated PS22 style! Kylie blew us away with her incredible vocals on this acoustic rendition! The kids sound haunting and yet somehow are having a blast at the same time! Super huge thanks to Kylie for an amazing day, as well as to Mr. Eberle for his amazing guitar work and to Ms. Lisa for her spectacular filming!! Make sure you catch the other video posted with Kylie & PS22 of “Put Your Hands Up” from her latest album APHRODITE !!!

BBC airs: The World’s Worst Place to be Gay

The BBC’s Scott Mills travels to Uganda to see what life is like there. The show cannot be seen using iPlayeroutside of the UK   (unless you use a proxy server) and the documentary wasn’t uploaded by the BBC – but someone else has  - so enjoy it while you can as it may well be taken down.

Stunning video collage: Egypt Revolution from the Start to the end.

Via@iYassin

A visually stunning collection of images and footage of  revolution in Egypt  that led the ouster of  Hosni Mubarak. Clearly a  lot of blood sweat and tears went into editing this and it is well worth  viewing. The tribute to the fallen is deeply touching. So many lives lost in the pursuit of basic human and economic rights.

PATRIOTISM
Innominatus
Sir Walter Scott  1771-1832

BREATHES there the man with soul so dead,
Who never to himself hath said,
‘This is my own, my native land!’
Whose heart hath ne’er within him burn’d
As home his footsteps he hath turn’d
From wandering on a foreign strand?
If such there breathe, go, mark him well;
For him no Minstrel raptures swell;
High though his titles, proud his name,
Boundless his wealth as wish can claim;
Despite those titles, power, and pelf,
The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonour’d, and unsung.
